Guide to downloading the source

First you will need to have a SVN program. I recommend TortoiseSVN. I have had a lot of good luck with it and find it easy to use. This guide will assume that you are using that.

After installing Tortouse select the directory that you want to download the source to. It is best if this is an empty directory. Right click on the directory and select "SVN Checkout"

Then enter the website where you will be pulling the source from.

Sites:
Primary site: https://eternalfights.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/eternalfights
Backup site: (incase you can't download from sourceforge) http://efserver.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/%20efserver/

From there open it into a java compiler (it was programmed in netbeans, but does work in Eclipse).

You can also download the .rar file from https://sourceforge.net/projects/eternalfights/files. But the chances are you will be missing a lot of updates to the code.

There are no compiled versions of the source available. Sorry, the code just needs too much work for that.

That's all great... but where is the client? You can either download the compiled version here: http://www.eternal-lands.com/page/download.php

Or here is a guide on how to get the source:
Windows: http://www.eternal-lands.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=35624
Linux: http://developer.berlios.de/cvs/?group_id=1256 (I'm assuming that if you can figure out how to use linux, you can download this yourself)
